li:on honored with Eurobike Gold Award

Innovative kids' bike from Germany impresses international expert jury

Frankfurt am Main / Markdorf, June 24, 2026

li:on was honored with a Eurobike Gold Award at Eurobike 2026. With this award, the international expert jury recognizes the innovative overall concept of li:on bikes, which consistently put safety, visibility, and sustainability front and center.

The award focuses on the li:on light model, which breaks new ground in the junior bike segment with a polyamide frame developed and manufactured in Germany. The bike also combines an integrated lighting system, reflective paint technology, and a patented, adjustable stem that adapts as the child grows.

“Receiving this award at Eurobike is a special confirmation of our work. From the very beginning, our goal was to develop a kids' bike that rethinks safety while being sustainable to use,” say founders Marcel Kittel and Tony Martin.
